The Internet has good and bad aspects to security of information. Accreditaiton tools sits within a secure folder. This means that all data transfer from one point to another is encrypted and not visible to other viewers as is passes between the server and your computer. The data does sit within a database that is password protected and given programming limitations, it should not be visible to anyone outside your QAP group. If you think about the types of information used for accreditation, there is not a great deal of really confidential data. Clearly, one would be unwise to commit financial data but other information such as the list of suppliers is not really critical. |
