In this animated image, the blastocyst has completely hatched, the zona pellucida is not visible (since it has been shed) and the embryo has assumed a spherical profile. The last images show the remnant zona pellucida with some residual fragments or blastomeres not incorporated into the blastocyst. The inner cell mass appears about 3 oclock but is either unclear from the images or is poorly developed. The trophectoderm appears well developed and healthy. |
