The reference for this question is the WHO Manual 4 th Edition Page 19-20. The acrosomal region should be well defined and account for 40-70% of the area of the anterior portion of the head. Where the acrosome is reduced in size, the head is often small or round. Sperm with a small or absent acrosome are considered ABNORMAL. |
